But the lack of carts makes loading and unloading very time consuming and difficult. When there were just two other cars in the lot, there were no carts anywhere, this is unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. Cart availability should be a standard service provided by the storage company, especially because we're a third floor unit and three rows back.
At this special time of year, I like to remember all the people who have been good to me throughout the year. This year it actually includes employees Janae and Tiara from the Timonium, MD Public Storage. These women are always friendly, helpful and professional. The store is always clean and neat. Every month when I stop by to drop of my payment, they welcome me by name and take prompt care of me. They are great representatives of the company! My sincere thanks to Janae and Tiara! Merry Christmas to all.
On the PLUS side, Tiara was absolutely wonderful; courteous, clear in explanations, accommodating in all respects. And, the entire facility was very clean. On the MINUS side, the facility is equipped with only two carts! Both were in use for the entire time that we were loading our unit (with heavy bins) -- hardly surprising for a place of this size. The lack of carts is very, very customer-unfriendly in that it took much longer to load than expected, and we all will need unnecessary doses of Alleve this evening. Really, how much could it cut into the profit margin to have three more carts? (In addition, this paltry number of carts should be made clear to new clients on the website, which it is not. I own a large dolly and would've brought it with me if I'd known.) Also, I believe that it would be very helpful to customers if the company installed better signage on the floors to direct customers to their units. This is hardly the reinvention of the wheel; seems that hotels caught on to this awhile ago! There is a map on each floor, but a lot of people are "map challenged" and the lack of signs is really silly scrimping by the company. Bottom line: 5+ stars for Tiara, - 2 stars for Public Storage management. Step it up!
